1. The One-Minute TIP

I encourage you to learn the lessons of Las Vegas. Surround
yourself with posters, bright lights, music and even
furniture that inspires you. Create a world that is
designed to help you take action every day. That doesn't
mean you have to "work" 24/7, but you want a world that
encourages you to live your dreams and to focus on your
highest priorities. Why would you settle for anything less?
Vegas doesn't.

2. Welcome Notes

Being in Las Vegas with Bob Proctor, my friend Vic Johnson,
and about 500 other people at "The Science of Getting Rich"
was awesome! I encourage every TIPS subscriber to attend
the seminars that help you achieve your goals and become
the person you want to be. There is no substitute. And of
course, it's good to be home! The information and
networking and excitement of Vegas were wonderful, almost
as "rich" as Mary's kiss at the airport and Cody's barking
at the door to welcome me home!

If you're serious about changing your life and creating new
realities in your world, there's no alternative to
surrounding yourself with people who have actually DONE IT.
Surround yourself with top achievers. Whether your focus is
on your marriage or your business, on health or on
parenting skills, attend the conferences. Get the
information. It's worth it and you deserve it!

Finally, as we enter autumn, the leaves turn and the days
get shorter and cooler, I'm reminded that "down under"
thousands of TIPS subscribers are enjoying the first days
of spring. To all our friends in Australia, New Zealand,
South Africa and almost 100 other countries, greetings!
Enjoy the beauty of summer!

3:  Lessons From Las Vegas

I recently spent four days in Las Vegas attending Bob Proctor's
"Science of Getting Rich" seminar, which was excellent. I
highly recommend Bob's work on money, attracting wealth and
reaching your most important goals in life.

But what interested me even more was the precision and
elegance with which my hotel, Caesar's Palace, and the
"strip" are designed for precisely one purpose, which I
would describe as "to separate you from your money."

Think about how successful you would be if you were as
specific, disciplined and intentional in your life, every
single day! We can learn a lot from Las Vegas.

I've written that the most powerful predictor of whether
you will achieve your goals is your Personal Eco-System(tm).
The way you structure your personal environment has more
influence on your outcomes than all the good intentions in
the world, and no one has learned this better than Las Vegas.

From the moment you arrive, you are flooded with the sights
and sounds of excitement. McCarran airport welcomes you
with slot machines and posters of dancing girls, nightclubs
and "opportunity." You're reminded that "what happens in
Vegas stays in Vegas." From the taxi cabs and billboards,
to the elevators in your hotel and the lay-out of the
lobbies, the environment is consistent and persuasive: Your
every fantasy can be fulfilled. There is no mention of
"cost" or consequences, but there is the promise that no
one will ever know unless you tell them.

My sense is that Las Vegas uses the illusions and desires
of sex to lure people in, then uses the profits from
gambling to pay for it all. That's not meant to be
critical. In fact, I say it with admiration and respect
because I want each of us to be just as focused and just as
consistent in designing our own environments.

How would your productivity change if every single day you
were surrounded with the sights and sounds of success? How
would your attitude change if every day you were surrounded
with sights and sounds that linked your work with money,
glamour, sex, and excitement? Would you have a different
level of commitment? I should think so!

Las Vegas has learned the power of a precise Personal Eco-
System(tm)! From the posters of beautiful women to the
sounds of coins clinking in the slot machine trays, they
have learned the power of designing your environment to
support a very specific outcome. You can use this to your
advantage!

Most people allow their environments to "just happen." We
furnish our homes with whatever we've collected through the
years, and then we wonder why our homes don't inspire us.
Think about your bathroom. Then ponder the fact that at
Caesar's Palace, my bathroom had a small touch-screen TV
next to the sink, and when you turn it on the first screen
invites you to play electronic slots! That, my friends, is
a carefully designed environment! You can win (or lose)
money while you brush your teeth!

Why settle for anything less? Vegas
doesn't.

5. Strictly Business:   Myth Of The Lone Ranger

Entrepreneur's the world over, but particularly in America,
are afflicted with a terrible misperception that they can
(and should) build their businesses by themselves.

This week at Bob Proctor's conference I was powerfully
reminded of the poet's observation that "no man is an
island." Among other key strategies and principles, the one
that stood out to me is the need for a winning team in
every business.

I got into coaching working with professionals in the
medical field, and early on I observed a terrible paradox.
While no surgeon or dentist would try to provide patient
care all by themselves, many of them think they "should"
build their practices as a "Lone Ranger." They end up
trying to do work they love, while also being the office
manager, marketing person, and sometimes the janitor in
their "spare" time. It's a recipe for frustration and
failure.

In dramatic contrast, Bob and those who shared the stage
with him all talked about their "team." They were lavish in
their praise of their office managers, personal assistants,
their planners and agents - and their personal coaches.
Laurel Langemeier talked extensively about her team, and
how both Bob Proctor and Robert Kyosaki have coached her
over the years.

I was reminded of the old Beatles line, "I get by with a
little help from my friends." None of us are truly "self-
made." We stand on the shoulders of those who have gone
before us. We learn from those who led the way and taught
us the lessons.

This week, I talked with an attorney who loves the law and
"just wants to serve my clients" but she's "over-whelmed
with all the paperwork, which is really ironic for a
lawyer!" She needs a team! She needs some office staff, but
in an even bigger sense, she needs someone to help her stay
focused, to hold her accountable and remind her of her
priorities. In short, she needs a coach!

If you would like help finding your way through a world of
"over-whelm" give me a call or drop me an email. If you are
determined to get results but feel tied down by "little
things and little people," let's get to work. Together
we'll find a way through the maze. Send an email to me at:

6. Resources and Tools for YOUR Success!

#1     Alive, Awake and Aware!
My new book and Audio Program
         http://AliveAwakeAndAware.com

This is the book and audio program I've wanted to create
for the past several years. Every one can recall a time
when a new piece of information or advice has created
instant change in our lives. But what about all the things
that never seem to change, no matter how hard we try?

After 25 years of studying highly successful people, I
wrote this book because effective, instant change comes in
three steps. The inner circle is self-awareness or self-
knowledge. When we are clear about who we are and what we
REALLY want, change is easier. The second circle is
effective support from our intimate community, the people
we spend time with every day. Finally, change must make
sense "out there" in the real world where we work and play.

After 25 years, I've written what I believe is the "recipe"
for a great life. I've tried to take the key ideas, the
most fruitful "seeds" from thousands of books and
interviews with hundreds of successful people and put them
in one place so YOU can learn, benefit and APPLY the
information immediately.

And, it's available in both book form and in a series of
audio CD's. Get it at: http://AliveAwakeAndAware.com

#2    Bodacious Woman!
An Incredible Book For All Women (And Men)
Special 25% Discount for TIPS Subscribers
        http://philiphumbert.com/go/mf.htm

This is a wonderful, fun, inspiring little book that is a
"must read" for both women and men. I thought so highly of
it that I bought and mailed copies to four of my clients as
soon as I could get my hands on them, then I mailed copies
to all eight of my nieces. You've got to read this!

But, why? The answer is simple: You can't get along in this
world by being "nice" (read: "timid"), or by refusing to go
for what you want in life. Foley's honesty is vibrant and
refreshing. Her examples ring so true and so familiar that
you can't help seeing yourself (and women you love) on
every page. There is power in this little book!

Success is always an "inside job." It starts with telling
our truth, being clear about who we are and what we want in
life. To the women who read this review, I say, "Just buy
it!" To the men who read this, I say, "Just buy it, read it
(under the covers with a flashlight if you have to), then
give it to the woman in your life." It's that good.

You can get it at Amazon.com, but here's a MUCH BETTER
deal: I contacted Mary's publicist, Barbara Keddy, and got
a heck of a deal for you. Use this link and you'll get 25%
off the price of the book, you'll get Mary's newsletter
(cancel any time if you don't like it) and you'll get an
invitation to her "Bodacious Women's Club" (at a $5 trial
price - can't beat that with a stick!). Check it out, buy
the book, and enjoy:

#3    Achieve Your Goals, Transform Your Life!
        The "Sedona Method"
         http://philiphumbert.com/go/Sedona.htm

People ask me how they can "really explode my success and
change my life", and after telling them there is no magic
bullet, I refer them to The Sedona Method(tm). This series
of tapes and workbooks is, without doubt, the MOST
successful, thorough and powerful program for taking charge
of your life that I have ever seen. I wish I had written
it! You can get a FREE initial tape to sample the program,
and for goodness sake, sign up for their free newsletter!
Their simple observation that, 'Happiness is free' opened
my eyes and was the beginning of a remarkable journey.
Very powerful stuff!

The program is not simple or cheap - you expected a quick
pill? It is comprehensive, orderly, and effective. Both
Mary and I have used it, and it works! Highly recommended!

#4    Got a Website?
        Earn Passive Income!
        http://philiphumbert.com/go/1A.htm

Over the years, I've paid lots of money for shopping carts,
autoresponders and systems that were supposed to help me
serve my subscribers and make money from my website. None
of them worked, or more accurately they worked, but they
were complex, confusing and didn't work very well. Then I
discovered Don Schnure and the amazing programs he's put
together. They work! They are powerful, EASY to use, and
they let me automate my newsletter, my affiliate programs
and my shopping cart, with no hassle! I love this! And, you
can use it for 30 days to check it out. Highly recommended!

7. Humor:    Tribute to Bob Hope

I grew up with Bob's variety shows, his annual golf
tournament in Palm Springs, and of course his USO trips to
entertain troops around the world. Long-time subscriber,
Paul Vogt sent me these quips, and I thought this weekend
with Rita bearing down on the Texas coast and all the
destruction in New Orleans, it was good to be reminded of
his gentle, self-deprecating humor. Enjoy!

ON TURNING 70: "You still chase women, but only downhill."

ON TURNING 80: "That's the time of your life when even
your birthday suit needs pressing."

ON TURNING 90: "You know you're getting old when the
candles cost more than the cake."

ON TURNING 100: "I don't feel old. In fact I don't feel
anything until noon. Then it's time for my nap."

ON HIS EARLY CAREER, BOXING: "I ruined my hands in the
ring...the referee kept stepping on them."

ON SAILORS: "They spend the first six days of each week
sowing their wild oats, then they go to church on Sunday
and pray for crop failure."

ON NEVER WINNING AN OSCAR: "Welcome to the Academy
Awards or, as it's called at my home, 'Passover'."

ON GOLF: "Golf is my profession. Show business is just to
pay the green fees."

ON PRESIDENTS: "I have performed for 12 presidents and
entertained six."

ON RECEIVING THE CONGRESSIONAL GOLD MEDAL: "I feel very
humble, but I think I have the strength of character to fight it."

ON HIS FAMILY'S EARLY POVERTY: "Four of us slept in the
one bed. When it got cold, mother threw on another brother."

ON HIS SIX BROTHERS: "That's how I learned to dance.
Waiting for the bathroom."

ON HIS EARLY FAILURES: " I wouldn't have had anything to
eat if it wasn't for the stuff the audience threw at me."

ON GOING TO HEAVEN: "I've done benefits for ALL the
religions. I'd hate to blow the hereafter on a technicality."
