1. The One-Minute TIP

I am totally convinced it is possible to live a World Class Life™! In fact, I believe a life that is truly “World Class” is the MINIMUM we should expect of ourselves. Who wants to settle for average or mediocre? Who would intentionally develop only part of their potential, use only some of their talent, or part of their creativity? No one would do that! Strive for excellence in every part of life!

2. Welcome Notes

We had 21 registrations for the World Class Life Conference in the first 31 hours! The first participant (Clifford) registered from the Netherlands just two hours and seven minutes after the email went out. Our Bonus dinners were sold out in less than 14 hours!

TIPS subscribers are the best! It’s incredibly gratifying to know people wait for this and jump on it as soon as we announce registration each year. Thanks to everyone who registered (obviously!) but also thanks to everyone who wrote with encouragement and saying how much WCL meant to them. We heard from almost 50 past attendees with stories of triumph, achievement and (maybe most important) satisfaction. Thanks to each of you!

Obviously we’ll sell out again this year. Space is limited to 54 people and we’re almost half-way there! Please check this out. Grab the free report (“Four Steps to a World Class Life”) in the upper-right corner of the website, and of course, please join us. This is a “good thing!” It’s fun, it’s inspiring, educational and of course, the networking with smart, ambitious people is worth a fortune. Check it out and I hope you will join us! http://MyWorldClassLife.com

3: Settle for Excellence in All Things

There are two famous recommendations that I don't believe in. They are supposed to lead to the "good life" but I don't think they work. The first is "all things in moderation" and the second is the quest for "perfection."

Regarding moderation, I much prefer the quote from May West that "too much of a good thing is just right." What a great attitude!

I deserve LOTS of great things in my life! I deserve all the health, joy, love, great memories, passion and fulfillment I can get! Moderation? I don’t think so.

Although, I have noticed that moderation in some things may be a good thing. Moderation in drinking, for instance, seems to reduce hangovers, accidents, addiction, and all sorts of embarrassing moments. Moderating my consumption of chips, dip and beer seems to be a good thing. (Super Bowl Sunday may be a universal exception – I'm still checking data on that one.)

Moderating my spending to match my income seems to be a good thing.

But when it comes to the things that make life worth-while, I HATE moderation! Why would I settle for a "little" happiness when the world seems designed to fill my life with joy?! Why would I work like a slave, when wealth and freedom and love are all around me? Sure, I work to earn money (and to make my unique contribution), but I'd much rather practice "moderation" in work and "let her rip" when it comes to joy and personal development!

I don't believe in "moderation in all things." Be very, very careful about the things you "practice in moderation!"

Similarly, trying to make life "perfect" is a trap. Very few things in life are "perfect" because life is always changing. If it was perfect a moment ago, it may already be deteriorating or evolving into something new. Or my tastes may have changed – perhaps I've outgrown it – and I'm no longer satisfied. Very few things in life are "perfect."

More importantly, since we aren't perfect, very few of the things we do are perfect. There's a wonderful quote about Howard Hughes that for all his genius and wealth, "he sought a perfection that assured failure."

Don't do that to yourself!

Instead, settle for excellence. Strive for a GREAT life, not a perfect one. Trouble happens. Mistakes happen. Bad luck and misfortune, and yes, even tragedy happens, but good things happen, too. Excellence and wisdom, love and joy never go out of style. We never outgrow our desire for love, celebration, achievement, and personal growth.

Strive for excellence in all things!

You deserve a life that is "World Class" in every respect.

4. Quotes of the Week

"You will do foolish things, but do them with enthusiasm."
                                          -- Colette

“And the trouble is, if you don't risk anything, you risk even more."
                                          -- Erica Jong

“We would worry less about what others think of us if we realized how seldom they do.”
                                          -- Ethel Barrett

“Fun is about as good a habit as there is.”
                                          -- Jimmy Buffett

5. Strictly Business:  Reverse“All Hat and No Cattle”

One of the saddest mistakes I see professionals and businesses owners make is the reverse of the phrase, “all hat and no cattle.” I’ve been told this is an insult in Texas and refers to someone who has a big mouth and little or no follow-through. The reverse of that is to build a GREAT enterprise, with little or no marketing.

Every week, I work with professionals and entrepreneurs who provide a great product or service, people who have invested and taken risks to create a great business, only to watch it struggle for lack of customers. Why?

A common pattern is that they (1) are not good at marketing and (2) they compound the problem by refusing to invest in marketing!

Yes, they may throw a little money at advertising. They may have attended a workshop or even paid a consultant at some point, but they FAIL to understand the dynamics of effective marketing and they refuse to get better at it!

Remember the definition of insanity: “Doing the same thing over and over, while expecting a different result!”

Consider this scenario, which is all too frequent: a passionate professional invests many years and thousands of dollars in education. They love their work and they are very good at it. So they do a little “marketing,” then they wait, hoping their expertise and passion will attract customers. Unfortunately, it doesn’t happen.

Or I see business owners who put their life savings into a new business because they KNOW they provide a great service at a fair price. But since everything’s invest in the business, there’s no money or energy or time for marketing and within a year, the business closes it’s doors. What a waste! The community loses a valuable service, and the owner loses the business and their life savings.

Invest in marketing! And perhaps more important – invest in LEARNING HOW to market! There are lots of great trainings, books and manuals to help you! If you don’t have enough customers, treat it as a skill problem and master it!

6. Resources and Tools for YOUR Success!

#1 The 13th Annual World Class Life
Conference
     May 15-17, 2008
     If not now, when?
If not you, who? (You DESERVE this!)
     http://MyWorldClassLife.com

Living well can be defined as living "a life of one's own." Too many of us spend our lives working hard, racing around and chasing other people's goals! Don't let that happen to you! You DESERVE 3 days to focus on yourself! You deserve time to clarify your values, goals and highest aspirations in life! You deserve practical, powerful strategies to make your dreams come true!

Of course you do! And the winners in life take the time. They invest in their skills and their goals. They network with the best people they can find. They attend the seminars. They plot strategy and make sure they are "on course" to achieve their most important priorities.

A great life does not happen by accident or by working "harder" and hoping for the best. Success in life – total, balanced, fulfilling success – is the logical result of doing the right things, in the right order, at the right time. The WCL has been THE turning point for many people over the years. It gives you the tools and the time, the space and permission to focus on what you truly want for your life. It gives you strategies that work, and the inspiration to work them. Make the commitment to create and live the life you truly want!

I hope you'll join us. Get all the info and register at:

#2 Use a MasterMind Alliance to Achieve Your Goals
Get the Support, Advice & Encouragement You Need
We All Need a Little Help from Our Friends
     http://TheNewMasterMind.com

Every winning athlete, and successful business person has a team of experts behind them. How would you like a team of hand-picked advisors committed to your personal success? What could you do with expert advice, wise counsel, and a network of successful people at your finger-tips?

Back in 1935, Napoleon Hill wrote that a “MasterMind” group was the one essential behind every successful person he interviewed! And yet very few people create a Mastermind team to help them achieve their most important goals in life! Now you can! Most people “don’t know how” or they fear they “wouldn’t know who to ask.” Now, I’ve written the manual! I’ve create a “recipe” so you can create your own MasterMind whenever you wish! I’ve included suggestions for where, when and how often to meet. I’ve even included simple scripts to get you started. Check it out!

If success is important to you, you MUST have a MasterMind group to help you “get there.” Click for more info. http://TheNewMasterMind.com

     #3 Got a Website?
     Earn Passive Income!
     http://philiphumbert.com/go/1A.htm

Over the years, I've paid lots of money for shopping carts, autoresponders and systems that were supposed to help me serve my subscribers and make money from my website. None of them worked, or more accurately they worked, but they were complex, confusing and didn't work very well. Then I discovered Don Schnure and the amazing programs he's put together. They work! They are powerful, EASY to use, and they let me automate my newsletter, my affiliate programs and my shopping cart, with no hassle! I love this! And, you can use it for 30 days to check it out. Highly recommended!

7. Humor:  Wedding Bell Wisdom

Collections of kids’ wisdom about love and marriage have been around for a long time and when my friend and colleague, Paul Simpson sent me these, I thought they were too cute to pass up. With Valentine’s Day next month, I share these in the hope you’ll get a nice chuckle from them:

HOW DO YOU DECIDE WHO TO MARRY?

You got to find somebody who likes the same stuff. Like, if you like sports, she should like it that you like sports, and she should keep the chips and dip coming.
-- Alan, age 10

No person really decides before they grow up who they're going to marry. God decides it all way before, and you find out later who you're stuck with.
-- Kristen, age 10

WHAT IS THE RIGHT AGE TO GET MARRIED?

Twenty-three is the best age because you know the person FOREVER by then.
-- Camille, age 10

HOW CAN A STRANGER TELL IF TWO PEOPLE ARE MARRIED?

You might have to guess, based on whether they seem to be yelling at the same kids.
-- Derrick, age 8

WHAT DO YOU THINK YOUR MOM AND DAD HAVE IN COMMON?

Both don't want any more kids.
-- Lori, age 8

WHAT DO MOST PEOPLE DO ON A DATE?

Dates are for having fun, and people should use them to get to know each other. Even boys have something to say if you listen long enough.
-- Lynnette, age 8

On the first date, they just tell each other lies and that usually gets them interested enough to go for a second date.
-- Martin, age 10

WHEN IS IT OKAY TO KISS SOMEONE?

When they're rich.
-- Pam, age 7

The law says you have to be eighteen, so I wouldn't mess with that.
-- Curt, age 7

The rule goes like this: If you kiss someone, then you should marry them and have kids with them. It's the right thing to do.
-- Howard, age 8

IS IT BETTER TO BE SINGLE OR MARRIED?

I don't know which is better, but I'll tell you one thing. I'm never going to have sex with my wife. I don't want to be all grossed out.
-- Theodore, age 8

It's better for girls to be single but not for boys. Boys need someone to clean up after them.
-- Anita, age 9 (bless you child)

And the #1 Favorite is........
HOW WOULD YOU MAKE A MARRIAGE WORK?

Tell your wife that she looks pretty, even if she looks like a truck.
-- Ricky, age 10
