1. The One-Minute TIP
The keys to success are not talent or wealth or luck or education.
Someone once told me that winners are "ordinary people, doing ordinary
things, extraordinarily well." I love that phrase and have it on my desk
every day. Today, do the ordinary tasks and routines of your life with
extraordinary precision, with extraordinary energy, humor, warmth and
passion. These are the keys to long-term success!

2. Welcome Notes
We already have 39 people registered for the World Class Life Conference
in May, and I am thrilled! Like most years, about half the registrations
are people who have attended before and liked the program so much, they
are coming back again!
That is a tremendous endorsement! There are lots of good conferences,
but how many have you seen that are so powerful that people come back
again!? I take that as a tremendous compliment! If it’s time to get
serious about your life, your future and your destiny, I hope you’ll
join us. At least get my free report! All the info and my free report
“Four Steps to a World Class Life” are at:

Finally, I want to thank everyone who wrote about my suggestion to
repeat Valentine’s Day every week. I love it! People wrote with
delightful stories of leaving notes, calling each other during the day,
doing the little things that make life fun and keep romance alive. Good
for you!
I’ve always said, TIPS subscribers are the smartest people in the world
and my email certainly proved that again this week. (Hint: Bring someone
special for a personal retreat at our World Class Life Conference! Green
Lake is an incredible place to get away to invest in your future.)

3: The Everyday Miracle of Small Differences
What are the keys to success? How do we explain the fact that two
equally talented people sometimes produce dramatically different
results?
Some people believe success is the result of talent or education, or
"being in the right place at the right time." Some of us think it has to
do with "who you know", or (let's be honest) that luck plays a part.
Well, I don't think "luck" has anything to do with it. I believe some
people have a knack for doing the right things, in the right way, at the
right time, and attracting the things they want in life, and that kind
of “luck” is a skill that can be learned.
A few years ago, I read that the top sales people in a large insurance
company earned 54 times more than the "average" salesperson made in
commissions. Think of that–some people earned 54 times more per year
than their colleagues who were selling the same products for the same
company, with the same training. How could that be?
Were those top salespeople 54 times smarter or 54 times more talented?
Would you argue they were 54 times luckier? Of course not!
It turns out, the differences in income were almost entirely the result
of "small differences that made all the difference."
Now, the top sales people DID make more calls per day—but they did not
make 54 times more calls, just a few extra calls. The top people did
return calls more promptly and had slightly better phone skills. The top
people read more, and had a better understanding of their products, and
were perhaps better at communicating with prospects.
The essential piece, however, is that the things that mattered were the
ordinary, routine skills that every salesperson has to master. It was
the "little things" that made all the difference!
If you watch the Olympics, the Super Bowl or NBA play-offs, you see this
principle in action. The winners were not necessarily more talented,
younger, stronger or richer. Often the difference between winners and
the others is a minor slip, or a moment of lost concentration. The
winners are not 54 times better, or even twice as good. The difference
between a gold medal and no medal is a tiny difference that makes all
the difference!
Winners work for perfection in the small things. They pay more
attention, they smile more, they read more, they get up earlier and stay
a bit later. They don't necessarily work harder, but they do focus on
quality, on performance, on the "winning edge." So can you!
A key “small difference” is that winners take
extraordinary care of themselves. They attend the
conferences, they network with winners, they
invest
in success. I hope you’ll join us in May for the
13th
annual World Class Life Conference. Space is
going
quickly—take ACTION! I hope you will join
us.

4. Quotes of the Week
"We are what we repeatedly do."
-- Aristotle
“Courage is the price that life exacts for granting peace. The soul that
knows it not, knows no release from little things.”
-- Amelia Earhart
"Be faithful in small things because it is in them that your strength
lies."
-- Mother Teresa
“The real art of conversation is not only to say the right thing at the
right place but to leave unsaid the wrong thing at the tempting moment.”
-- Dorothy Nevill

5. Strictly Business: Sharpen Your Saw
In Oregon, with its history of agriculture and forestry, the concept of
"sharpening your saw" has real meaning. It refers to keeping your tools,
your skills, and your attitude maintained, sharp and ready.
This week, I read an article about applying these principles to your
computer, and I thought about how they apply across the board in
business. To expand your business or achieve any significant goal, you
need the best tools you can find.
Whether the challenge is harvesting lumber, making a sale, or teaching
high school, the person with the best tools will always do the best job.
Here are some critical areas to re-examine:
1. Your computer. Get and USE good maintenance tools. Run a
thorough check for viruses, de-fragment your hard disk, and check it for
errors at least once a week. Norton, McAfee and others sell tools that
make this easy and automated. Do it!
2. Voice communication. Get and use a great voice mail system. If
your clients, customers, friends and colleagues can't reach you, they
won't do business with you. And NEVER require people to identify
themselves before they call your business phone. Never make if difficult
for people to do business with you!
3. Get and use a PDA or similar system. Every professional has a
vital list of appointments, phone numbers, names and data that you must
have with you at all times. Don't leave home without it.
4. Superb email and Internet services. It's not enough to "have"
email. Make it work for you! Become an expert at quickly sharing
articles, notes, data and humor with your clients and customers. If
you're serious about business, get serious about your email.
5. Specific tools for your niche and profession. Every industry
has it's own tools, language, skills and standards. Become an expert in
them, become known as an "early adopter," the person who invests heavily
in new technology and the latest solutions. It costs money; it pays in
profits.

6. Resources and Tools for YOUR Success!
#1 The 13th Annual World Class Life(tm) Conference
May 15-17th in Beautiful Wisconsin!
If not now, when?
If not you, who? (You DESERVE this!)
http://MyWorldClassLife.com
Living well can be defined as living "a life of one's own." Too many of
us spend our lives working hard, racing around and chasing other
people's goals! Don't let that happen to you! You DESERVE time for
yourself! You deserve time to clarify your values, goals and highest
aspirations in life! You deserve practical, powerful strategies to make
your dreams come true!
Of course you do! And the winners in life take the time. They invest in
their skills and their goals. They network with the best people they can
find. They attend the seminars. They plot strategy and make sure they
are "on course" to achieve their most important priorities.
A great life does not happen by accident or by working "harder" and
hoping for the best. Success in life – total, balanced, fulfilling
success – is the logical result of doing the right things, in the right
order, at the right time. The WCL has been THE turning point for many
people over the years. It gives you the tools and the time, the space
and permission to focus on what you truly want for your life. It gives
you strategies that work, and the inspiration to work them. Make the
commitment to create and live the life you truly want!
I hope you'll join us. Get all the info and register at:

#2 Use a MasterMind Alliance to Achieve Your
Goals
Get the Support, Advice & Encouragement You Need
We All Need a Little Help from Our Friends
http://TheNewMasterMind.com
Every winning athlete, and successful business person has a team of
experts behind them. How would you like a team of hand-picked advisors
committed to your personal success? What could you do with expert
advice, wise counsel, and a network of successful people at your
finger-tips?
Back in 1935, Napoleon Hill wrote that a “MasterMind” group was the one
essential behind every successful person he interviewed! And yet very
few people create a Mastermind team to help them achieve their most
important goals in life! Now you can! Most people “don’t know how” or
they fear they “wouldn’t know who to ask.” Now, I’ve written the manual!
I’ve create a “recipe” so you can create your own MasterMind whenever
you wish! I’ve included suggestions for where, when and how often to
meet. I’ve even included simple scripts to get you started. Check it
out!
If success is important to you, you MUST have a MasterMind group to help
you “get there.” Click for more info.

#3 Got a Website?
Earn Passive Income!
http://philiphumbert.com/go/1A.htm
Over the years, I've paid lots of money for shopping carts,
autoresponders and systems that were supposed to help me serve my
subscribers and make money from my website. None of them worked, or more
accurately they worked, but they were complex, confusing and didn't work
very well. Then I discovered Don Schnure and the amazing programs he's
put together. They work! They are powerful, EASY to use, and they let me
automate my newsletter, my affiliate programs and my shopping cart, with
no hassle! I love this! And, you can use it for 30 days to check it out.
Highly recommended!

7. Humor: Disorder in the Court
I’ve shared some of these before, but my friend Dolly Howard recently
sent this list and they had me laughing so hard I had to share them
again. They are from a book called “Disorder in the Court”, and are
(supposedly) things people actually said in court. Enjoy!
Q: Is your appearance here this morning pursuant to the deposition
notice I sent to your attorney?
A: No, this is how I dress when I go to work.
Q: Doctor, how many autopsies have you performed on dead people?
A: All my autopsies are performed on dead people.
Q: Do you know if your daughter has ever been involved in voodoo or the
occult?
A: We both do.
Q: Voodoo?
A: We do.
Q: You do?
A: Yes, voodoo.
Q: The youngest son, the twenty-year old, how old is he?
Q: Were you present when your picture was taken?
Q: What is your date of birth?
A: July fifteenth.
Q: What year?
A: Every year.
Q: Doctor, before you performed the autopsy, did you check for a pulse?
A: No.
Q: Did you check for blood pressure?
A: No.
Q: Did you check for breathing?
A: No.
Q: So, then it is possible that the patient was alive when you began the
autopsy?
A: No.
Q: How can you be so sure, Doctor?
A: Because his brain was sitting on my desk in a jar.
Q: But could the patient have still been alive, nevertheless?
A: Yes, it is possible that he could have been alive and practicing law
somewhere.
