1. The One-Minute TIP
The reality is that we have the power to choose the life we want. At any
time, we can choose to change. We all know people who have transformed
their lives through the power of choice, and so can you! It's not easy,
but it is possible. We all know people who went back to school, who
started a business, who made a decision to live the life they truly
wanted. That potential is inside each of us.

2. Welcome Notes
We have daffodils! I expect they’ll peek in a few days, but already they
are magnificent! The flowering trees are beginning to blossom, and we
have turkeys! Hundreds of turkeys live in the hills around us. For most
of the year they stay out of sight, but in the spring they flock
together and the males spread their tail feathers in a display that
confirms spring is here and warmth will return.
Wherever you are, and in whatever way is right, take time to refresh
your soul! Take a walk or see a movie, take a friend to lunch or go
dancing, but do the things that nourish your heart. It pays!
This week, I had the honor of speaking to an association of professional
credit managers, and next week I’m speaking to a group of real estate
appraisers. If you would like me to speak to your group or organization,
please send an email! I’d love to work out the details with you! Contact
me at:
Coach@philiphumbert.com
Finally, I want to encourage you to join me for the World Class Life
Conference in May. We had another couple register this week, which
always makes me happy—what a wonderful thing to share with a loved one!
We have magnificent content, great speakers and all that, but it’s also
a wonderful time to reconnect with your dreams, with your passion, and
perhaps, with your partner! Take action. Register at:

3: The Necessity of Choice
This week I was reminded that one of the great questions of life is the
choice to do, or to experience.
Too often we get so busy doing that we forget to experience and enjoy
our lives. Life can be a constant source of love and wonder, but
sometimes in our hurry we fail to notice. We so badly want "success"
that we forget to live well and enjoy the ride.
We live "lives of quiet desperation" not because we are poor, but
because of our desire to have, to do, or to be, something else. We are
anxious because we fail to realize that what we have is, in fact, quite
enough.
The good news is that we are already wealthy! Most of us have access to
more books and education, entertainment, travel, and business
opportunities than we can possibly explore in one life time. We all
participate in this "rising tide" of experiences.
As Christopher Marley noted, true success is living your own life in
your own way.
Success, it seems to me, is about choosing the lifestyle you prefer and
accepting responsibility for it. Most Americans choose to work about 40
hours a week, earning what we call a "middle class" income. This
supplies our need for food, clothing and shelter, and allows us to enjoy
a nice car, some travel, a few luxuries and time for television,
friends, and relaxation.
A few, however, make other choices. Some choose to work more, play more,
travel more, or make other choices that diverge from the average. While
no example will apply to everyone, typically those who choose to have
more children will have less free time, and perhaps less discretionary
money. Those who maximize recreation may be promoted less rapidly, while
those who pursue an entrepreneurial or business path may have less of
something else.
The key, of course, is that there no mythical right choice. There is
only the requirement that we make our choices and accept responsibility
for the results. You can have almost any life you desire, but you cannot
avoid the necessity to choose.
One of the great tragedies is that many of our choices are made
unconsciously, without adequate thought or consideration. Someone offers
us a job, and we grab it. We buy a house, settle down, make friends and
believe these things define our life and "the way things are." False!
This week, take time to dream. Clarify the life you truly want, jot some
notes, make some plans, and take action. From this day forward, move in
the direction you truly want to go!
If you value life, take time to plan it! Take
time to
choose wisely, and to create elegant strategies
that get results! Define the life you want, and
make
it happen! Join us for three days in May. It
could
transform everything!

4. Quotes of the Week
"Follow your bliss."
-- Joseph Campbell
"Buddha left a road map, Jesus left a road map, Krishna left a road map,
Rand McNally left a road map. But you still have to travel the road
yourself."
-- Stephen Levine
“For me, security is not knowing what's going to happen. Because if I
don't know, it could be terrific.”
-- Gloria Steinem
"You make a living by what you get. You make a life by what you give."
-- Winston Churchill

5. Strictly Business: The Four Paths to Wealth
I've concluded there are only four ways to make money and accumulate
significant wealth in this world.
1. Make an unusually valuable contribution. This is the easiest
and most successful path wealth, but since it usually comes disguised as
hard work, it's also the path most resisted. The world pays for our
expertise, our effort, our ideas and our inventions, and it pays
extremely well if make unusually valuable contributions.
2. Save and invest. This, too, is a reliable and nearly
fool-proof road to wealth, but since it takes time, personal discipline
and has absolutely no sex appeal, it is largely ignored. Spend less than
you make, save the difference, let time and compound interest make you
rich.
3. Inherit money. I've read that in the next few years twenty
trillion dollars of accumulated wealth will be transferred from the
passing generation to the younger one. Nothing like that has ever
happened before! It pays to select the right parents!
4. Be lucky. Be in the right place at the right time. Know the
right people or win the lottery. While this one is unpredictable and
fickle (and gives rise to a sense that life isn't "fair"), it happens
often enough to give us hope. Unfortunately, the statistics are against
you. But who knows? Luck happens.
Unfortunately, I didn't know these rules before I was born and so chose
wonderful but poor parents, and the statistics have proven entirely
reliable – I've won no lotteries. So, from personal experience I can
only recommend paths one and two.
Get good at what you do. Love it enough to get VERY good at it, and the
world will pay accordingly. Then, save and invest, and let time be your
friend.

#2 Use a MasterMind Alliance to Achieve Your
Goals
Get the Support, Advice & Encouragement You Need
We All Need a Little Help from Our Friends
http://TheNewMasterMind.com
Every winning athlete, and successful business person has a team of
experts behind them. How would you like a team of hand-picked advisors
committed to your personal success? What could you do with expert
advice, wise counsel, and a network of successful people at your
finger-tips?
Back in 1935, Napoleon Hill wrote that a “MasterMind” group was the one
essential behind every successful person he interviewed! And yet very
few people create a Mastermind team to help them achieve their most
important goals in life! Now you can! Most people “don’t know how” or
they fear they “wouldn’t know who to ask.” Now, I’ve written the manual!
I’ve create a “recipe” so you can create your own MasterMind whenever
you wish! I’ve included suggestions for where, when and how often to
meet. I’ve even included simple scripts to get you started. Check it
out!
If success is important to you, you MUST have a MasterMind group to help
you “get there.” Click for more info.

#3 Got a Website?
Earn Passive Income!
http://philiphumbert.com/go/1A.htm
Over the years, I've paid lots of money for shopping carts,
autoresponders and systems that were supposed to help me serve my
subscribers and make money from my website. None of them worked, or more
accurately they worked, but they were complex, confusing and didn't work
very well. Then I discovered Don Schnure and the amazing programs he's
put together. They work! They are powerful, EASY to use, and they let me
automate my newsletter, my affiliate programs and my shopping cart, with
no hassle! I love this! And, you can use it for 30 days to check it out.
Highly recommended!

7. Humor: Bumper “Slickers” for Women???
Alistair Jameson from South Africa sent these to me, and labeled them as
particularly suited for women. I question that, however, since with a
few exceptions, I could easily modify most of them for my own bumper!
They made me chuckle and I hope you enjoy!
